I am a retired secondary school Textile teacher and, for the past five years, have been teaching patchwork and quilting to a small group (12) of ladies; the group is called Piecemakers. We meet fortnightly, six times each school term and alternate between doing small projects for one year and then a year-long project. From 3rd - 12th May 2019, we will be taking part in the North Somerset Arts Week and exhibiting our work in Chelvey Church alongside an artist and another community group who do pottery and batik.
The Arts Week was a great success with just under one thousand visitors!
Covid-19 has struck and Piecemakers has been unable to meet since the end of February! Members continue to 'do their own thing', though and are being very productive!
