Following many requests, the Guild has decided that it will now accept subscriptions by Quarterly Direct Debit, allowing anyone who prefers to use this method to spread their payments. When your renewal letter is sent to you, you will see that there is an option to change from annual payment to quarterly direct debit. If you wish to do this, you need to indicate this on your renewal letter or - for those already on annual direct debit who wish to change over - please make sure you contact Head Office to ask for your method of payment to be amended.
New members can choose Quarterly Direct Debit at the time of joining. Our
applications forms will be amended as soon as possible but, if you have an older form, please write clearly across the top 'Quarterly Direct Debit', complete the bank details as though for an annual direct debit and our membership officer
will use that as an instruction for setting up the new arrangement for you.
Quarterly payments will be deducted at the time of renewal or joining, and every three months thereafter. You will only receive on notification of a change in subscription rate on the anniversary of your original renewal date, and you are expected to pay for the complete year before cancelling or changing your payment method again.
There is no additional cost for using this method of paying. We hope that this will encourage more members to remain in the Guild in these stretching financial times.
If you already pay by direct debit and wish to remain on the annual payment scheme, you do not need to do anything when your renewal letter arrives.
